  Each year, many people set targets, goals, dreams and visions they intend to reach before the year ends and sometimes even before the year ends they may have lost track of the resolutions they set for themselves.  Dear New Breed, you have to be mindful that it's not by might, not by power but by the Spirit.  Your success this year is tied to how much of God's Word and His Spirit you are going to allow in your life.  This year endeavor to give place and priority to God's Word, prayer, and church gatherings and see if you would not make significant progress in life.  Keep your focus this year, don't allow distractions and wrong associations to steer you away from your course.  I see a glorious year for you, do you? Such was Jeremiah's case.  He was under constant scorch of hate from men, mostly the very people he served with God's message and warnings for their own good.   One of the fastest ways to know that you're progressing is through changes in your thought patterns. You begin to question things you've once accepted.   My purpose-driven scripture has always been Prov. 22:29, "seeth though a man diligent in his business, he shall stand before kings and not common men."   This scripture has always made me know that irrespective of your religion, the principle is the same. The cap goes where it fits- he who puts in the work.   Hence, the need to persist rightly!   There came a time when that wasn't my driving force anymore. While going through that scripture, I paused to ask myself, "who are the kings? How many heads do they have? Why do I need to stand before them?   GOD IS FOR YOU! Realising this will make a world of difference in your Christian journey, Dear Young Adult. You may find yourself thinking thoughts like "God has abandoned me! Otherwise, why else would this happen to me?" "There's no way God will love me after what I did." Good news is, there are many stories in the Bible that prove that God is for you regardless of how you feel!
