A Glimpse Of Her! (Episode 9)
She had a fight with Lynne and
their friendship fell apart.
She got herself an apartment
and moved from the school’s hostel. She never went back to Mr. Nelson’s place.
Renetta had completed her
undergraduate program and currently doing her compulsory one year national
service in the Eastern Region.
“I thought I was raising a
daughter fit for the King’s palace, but I didn’t know she wasn’t even close to
it, where did I miss it with you? I sacrificed a lot for you Casey” Casey’s
mother told Casey whilst she was crying loudly in a dream she was having one
midnight.
Casey suddenly woke up and was
visibly shaking. Feelings of guilt overshadowed her. She felt remorseful of
everything she has done.
“What have you turned into
Casey? This is not the life you envisioned for yourself. Mummy and Daddy never
brought you up like this. What have you become Caseeey?” Casey maundered
hitting herself.
“You are worthless and
useless! Nothing better will come out of you. Forget the promises of God for
your life. Just forget Casey. Your sins are unforgivable” Casey’s inner voice
told her.
She broke down and howled.
She took her phone to check
the time and a notification popped up – a message from their campus Pastor –
Pastor Ben which reads:
Do you
see yourself as a trash? I have a cheering report for you!
God
who had made you and gave you the breadth of life actually sees you
differently, He doesn't see you as a worthless trash not worthy of any use but
to be disposed in a nearby incinerator, rather He sees in you a raw material
needed by Him for further refining process and to subsequently emerge as an
entity worthy of admiration and association. Behold He is the potter and every
potter has a great need for the raw material needed to make vessels which is to
be used for great purposes.
So if
you see yourself as a trash, well that is okay because our Master is actually
in an unrelenting business of gathering trash cans for His glorifying work.
Before the trash became a trash, it was first of great value, not until it
became empty and discarded. God has never made a person he didn't love; He
doesn't waste His time on things that are useless.
Your
life is precious to Him for He has loved you with an everlasting love that is
boundless even while we became trash, He still loves us (Romans 5:8) and sent
His only son to fetch us in our discarded, rejected, abandoned, trampled upon
and filthy states.
When
Jesus stretched forth His arms wide on the cross, He was saying “I love you
this much!" You are worth searching and dying for and He will always do
anything to ensure your safety. God wants to redeem human and specifically you
my friend from the grip of Satan and bring them out from their filthy state; He
wants to take you out from the trash bin and make you into what He intended for
you right before you were conceived.
He cares
about your redemption, He wants all His lost Children found, He doesn't expect
you to be perfect, but He wants you to come to him with your imperfections and
He will give you a new form.
You
might be filthy, “Well, maybe”. You might feel rejected, engrossed with guilt,
asking yourself whether anything good will still come out from you. You might
have been a Christian before now, committed and consecrated, but you lost it
all due to pleasure, influence by peers, and pressure. Dearly beloved, the
Potter is in dire need of you.
He
wants to heal your scar, reform your brokenness; He wants to take the pool of
your tears and transform them into extravagant testimonies. Your scar might look
on the interim as a setback, but in the real sense, it is a set up by God to
bring forth from you a glorious story that will heal the heart of men and the
world around you.
