𝐀𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

 

Dear Young Adult,

If you could outrun millions of other sperm cells to win the marathon to fertilise the egg, even before you knew that you exist, what makes you think that you cannot win the race of life now that you are fully aware of your existence and have the power to choose the life you want?

You withstood the rigorous process of fertilisation, implantation and birth, and you are about to give up because life isn't going the way you want?

Before you saw the light, you had a strong will to see a world that was unmatched. Now that you are here in the world, you succumb at the slightest challenge.

Oh-em-gee! What happened to the resilience you had to become a zygote, get implanted as an embryo and developed into a viable fetus?

Heck to the naw! You survived delivery! 

Look at the narrow canal you came through.

See the medical procedures you endured to live.

I know that this is an unconventional perspective but really! You overcame a lot even when you were helpless and fragile by every biological standard.

Now is not the time to throw in the towel. Yes!

 

Don't be tricked into believing that if others don't endorse you, God can't bless you. In His infinite wisdom and Grace, He has no need to get approval from others to bless you.

Keep running and do whatever it takes to stay in the race. Push yourself to go to class and finish your degree. Enroll in a Master's degree program if you can. Channel your energy into saving enough money to start your own business.

Don't settle for an unhealthy relationship when you long for so much more.

You may feel like there's no way you could ever achieve your dreams or make up for the lost time. And you're right - you can't. But God can!

You may be toward the back of the pack, but the race isn't over yet.

Dear Young Adult, You will see this life to its end and you will make it count while at it.

You have not come this far to give up.

Bring back your neonatal resilience!
