A Glimpse Of Her! (Episode 8)

In the morning, Mr. Nelson comes to the kitchen where Casey was preparing breakfast.

“Casey, if you want to still live in my house and go to school, you must do as I say. I need you in my room tonight or start packing your belongings and leave my house” Mr. Nelson told Casey and left for work.

“God, haven’t I suffered enough already? Haven’t you punished me enough? What do you want from me again? Speak to me, God!” she muttered and started crying.

Casey was in a state of dilemma. She knew the Bible speaks against sex before marriage. On the other hand was her school and the new family she has got. Mr. Nelson was her last resort.

“If Mr. Nelson ousts me from this house, it will surely be the end of me. I am going to start from scratch again. My HIV on the other hand. Oh God! Although this man’s sudden behavior is weird but he has been good to me. I just can’t allow him to contract it. Let me go and see Lynne” Casey muttered.

“Do you now understand when I say you have a problem? Casey, do you now understand? Are you now thinking about your God? Where was he when you were going through all these tough times? Baby girl, where was he? Now you have come across an Angel, what are you telling me?” Lynne told Casey when she told her about her dilemma.

“Pastor Ben always tells us that with God, all things are possible. He also added that we should always remember that it takes rain and sunshine to make a rainbow. So whatever we encounter in this life, God has a plan for us and His plan is perfect” Casey responded.

“Okay Darling. Then let us wait for your God to work out some magic so you find yourself stranded on the streets of Accra. Don’t worry, I have a lot of patience” Lynne said.

“Come on, Lynne. This is not what I need right now. What do I do? Mr. Nelson is my last resort. You know that” Casey said in response.

“First of all, forget the God who doesn’t exist. He wasn’t there for you and he won’t be there for you (an unfortunate truth). Do as Mr. Nelson says because you can’t afford to leave that house. For the HIV, tell him to use protection. Insist that he uses protection. Remember, you have five more years to go in school. I have slept with almost 40 percent of the guys and lecturers on campus. Am I dead?” Lynne told Casey.

There was complete silence for two minutes.

“(Clears throat) I think I will go with this Lynne. God has disappointed me several times. I can’t rely on Him this time. Thank you very much for this advice. I’m leaving. See you in school next week Monday” Casey said in response and left.

Lynne nodded in affirmation whilst beaming with smiles.

In that evening, Casey went to see Mr. Nelson. They involved in frequent sexcapades till she left for school.

Gradually, Casey quit praying, reading her Bible and attending campus church services and classes. She spent most of her time watching pornographic movies and masturbating to the extent, it became an addiction. She would send her nudes to foreigners and receive hefty sums of money.
