Let Your Eyes Be Single!
Let your eyes be single!
I know that feeling of being tempted to back out, especially due to social media pressure.
Everyone here seems to have it all figured out.
Just when you switch on your data, your news feed is flooded with speaking gigs, scholarships, certifications, national/international awards, evidence of huge sales and the rest.
At the sight of those wins, your heart palpitates. You whiff into a state of depression and wonder how "experts" get effortless results without pain while you keep getting rejections and disappointments.
Without pain, you said?
Hold on! You are definitely not alone. Behind the scenes are tons of rejection emails, many opportunities lost and failed attempts.
Experts do cry, they only show you what they decide to show you.
The truth is:
In the course of my journey, I've gotten a ton of failures and fears. Most times I feel like quitting but my WHY seems bigger than those temporal issues.
So, while it looks like fear is creeping in or I should give up, I find the guts to try again and again and again. When I get it right, I share the victory here.
You'll shout "awww" and tap grace but I didn't tell you what it took me to pull such a win. I decide what I show you!
You should understand that the journey of clarity is an unending one. When the first step is clear, the second might seem unclear until you take action.
No one has it all figured out. Don't let the media fool you. Don't be intimidated by people's successes, instead, draw inspiration from them.
Huge sales, scholarships, and awards don't mean one has it all complete. No one gets everything perfectly as planned. Stay in your lane and stop comparing their highlights to yours.
People's wins and stories should inspire you and serve as a lesson that yours is coming. Time makes things possible!
Just be consistent with what you are doing, embrace and enjoy the process. You never know when you are just a step away from the result.
Time will tell.
Until then, keep learning, keep doing, and keep embracing your little wins.
Trust the process!
