Service And I
Prince: Hi Sylvia. Can I ask you a question?
Sylvia: Why not, Prince. Shoot it.
Prince: Thank you. Sylvia, if you were given an opportunity to give a word of advice to thousands of young adults, what would it be?
Sylvia: Amazing question, Prince😊 My advice is simple; SERVE! SERVE! SERVE!
Prince: Wow, Sylvia! Forgive my curiosity. Why, "Serve" and not any other thing?
Sylvia: One of the ways Young Adults can find fulfillment within themselves and have a sense of purpose is through SERVICE, Prince.
This is the best advice I can give to my fellow Young Adults because I have seen what service can do and the doors it can open if done with the right mindset.
Prince: Mmm... This is profound, Sylvia.
Sylvia: 😊
Prince: So Sylvia, why should our fellow Young Adults serve?
Sylvia: Service makes you happy. It gives you a sense of fulfillment, knowing that your contribution makes the world a better place. Personally, I serve because I love being helpful. I find it as an honor especially in church. Also, I feel that is one of the reasons we are on Earth. I don't miss an opportunity to serve.
Prince: This is gold, Sylvia. I believe there are many ways one can serve. Or?
Sylvia: Yes, Prince! One can serve by volunteering their time and expertise, donating, praying for others, performing acts of random kindness, among others.
Prince : Wonderful!
Sylvia: Let me come to you Prince. Over the past years, I have seen you volunteering for SYND Ghana, UN, Gold coast Literacy Program and many other organizations. You are doing well though.
Prince: Thank you, Sylvia☺️
Sylvia: Can you tell us some surprising benefits about volunteering?
Prince: Yes, Sylvia.
With busy schedules, it can be hard to find time to volunteer. However, the benefits of volunteering can be enormous.
√Volunteering expands your network. It connects you to others.
√ It is good for the mind and body. It combats depression and anxiety.
√ It increases self confidence.
√ It gives you a platform to showcase your skills and talents.
√Finally, it gives you fulfillment and you said that rightly.
Sylvia: Whoa, this is gooood Prince! Thanks for sharing.
Prince: Dear Young Adult, never miss an opportunity to serve. It is gold!💛💛
